Motivation of the student

One of the problem that teachers affront today it is how to motivate the student
With the grow of technology it has became difficult for teacher to grape the intention of the student form MP3, music, film etc.
And it is up to use to not making their lesson so difficult and so boring
If the technology is before we should follow it
For example why not to use in class additional materials , why not making the class more easy and more fun but at the same time not to lose the aim of the school ???

I love blogging and i spent hours and hours to make good and to bring something different but i will not have done this if i would not have been motivated

It is difficult and have problems but it is not impossible

Democracy and Freedom

Use the context of the selections to help you choose the correct meaning of each boldfaced word.

1. In a democracy, the people choose their government. In order to make intelligent choices, the people need to know what those who are running the government are doing. They must be able to get news that is not controlled by the government. Newspapers and other news organizations must be able to report all the news. Freedom of the press is a very important part of any democracy.

a. to push
b. a strong forward movement
c. to keep asking
d. news reporting organizations

2. Freedom of speech is just as important as freedom of the press. That means that all citizens should have the right to inform others of what they know and express their opinions. That doesn’t mean being able to lock yourself in a closet and whisper. It means being able to get your thoughts out to as many people as possible. Beware of politicians who want to repress that right.

a. control, or hold down
b. push again
c. fight to protect
d. say again

3. In a free society, people can practice their religious beliefs without fear. They may also elect to belong to no religion at all. Freedom of religion is safest in democratic nations.

a. vote
b. ask
c. find
d. choose

4. In order for people to be able to exercise their rights, they must be able to work together. They must be able to form groups to give strength to their causes. That right is known as freedom of assembly.

Using technology in education

In fact the main aim that i create this blog was because i have a subjet and was require by our teacher to create a blog
I have had another blog before and find a lot of other fun stuf while i was back in blog
Blogs are easy to use and to manage and also they are free and give you the power to manage

The reason why i started this topic here it is because i follow a group called Teacher of English and there we were discusing of using technology in teaching
Some bady from Tunisia said that mainly there were 80 % rural are and he could not use technology
Another person have shown his own experience using her personal laptop and makeing a diferent hour of lesson
Albanian in fact it is in a good way because almost every school have computer and internet access that make easy for the teacher
But the main problem is if we have the possibility why not to use technology in our class when using technology the student :
1. learn at the steps of the time
2. atract the intention
3. it is faster and easy
4. it is updated and a need of the time that we are leaving
etc

Another thing that i would like to mention is adition material
For my diploma thesis, and thank you to my teacher that help me a lot, i chose the topic using newspapers in classroom and was amazing what i founf out
It is not never to late for started something that make learning more interesting and easy
Even sometime for teachers it is difficult to adapt with the technology

Internet helps families stay more in touch

Much has been said about how anti-social the Internet and mobile phones are. The truth is however, according to new research, communication technology is bringing people closer together. A study by the Pew Internet and American Life Project found family members were keeping in regular contact today more than ever before. And this is all down to e-mail, chat, our cellphones and SMS messaging. It makes sense. Years ago, it took a long time to write a letter, then find an envelope and go to the post office to buy a stamp and post it. Today we write mails while we wait for our change in the convenience store and they’re sent in an instant. Having free Internet telephone calls also helps us to stay in touch more often and for longer. Everyone’s at it, from five-year-olds to tech-savvy grandparents.
According to the Pew survey, technology has a very positive effect on communication within families. Researchers asked 2,252 adults whether new technologies had increased the quality of communication with their family. Fifty-three percent said it increased communication with family members they did not live with, two per cent said technology decreased this. Numbers were similar for those living in the same house as their family. The project director Lee Rainey said: "There's a new kind of connectedness being built inside of families with these technologies”. Survey co-author Barry Wellman agreed: "It used to be [that] husbands went off to work, wives went off to a different job or else stayed home…and the kids went off to school…and not until 5:30, 6 o'clock did they ever connect," he said.

Children Can “Imagine” Pain Away

Scientists have found a new use for children’s imaginations. To make the pain from stomachaches go away. The BBC reports on a new study that shows: “Children can be taught to use their imagination to tackle frequent bouts of stomach pain.” This may be very good news for parents who need a quick remedy for their sick children. Any mother or father understands stomach problems are one of the most frequent things their children complain about. Around twenty per cent of children suffer from stomachaches that doctors cannot find a reason for. This new research is especially good for kids with active imaginations. Researchers found that the more creative the child is, the better he or she is at imagining the pain away.
The researchers, from America’s University of North Carolina and Duke University Medical Center, used a relaxation CD with children. The kids listened to a voice that guided them through different fantasy situations. One of these was pretending to be floating on a cloud. Thirty children took part in the tests. Half of them used the “guided imagery” techniques, the other half received normal medicines. Researchers found 73.3 per cent of the CD users reported a reduction in pain. This compared to only 26.7 per cent of kids who got normal treatment. Study leader Dr Miranda van Tilburg was very excited about her findings. She believes it could be a very cheap and easy way to stop children’s stomach pains. She said it would not work as well with adults.
